Silver Mountain Pinot Noir, 2008
This weighty wine is a testament to the cool climate and terroir of the Santa Lucia Highlands, a prime-growing region for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Its spicy, smoky character, typical of this appellation, is coupled with an amazing depth of tart red cherry fruit. It was aged in oak; a barrel choice that complements rather than dominates the delicate Pinot Noir fruit and produces a smooth, silky mouth-feel. The wine is well structured with rich, gorgeous color and smooth tannins to ensure ageability.
It has a smooth long finish that keeps you coming back for more.
Try it with chicken, turkey, pasta dishes, salads and seafood.
This is a very fine California Pinot Noir, a 2008 vintage. We highly recommend it for fine dining, or to be enjoyed at a formal occasion, gathering or a special party. It’s simply a classic to have.
